His Birth
Ah, Christmas! Our foremost holiday! The buying of gifts and singing of ancient songs fills our days. The Dickens' ideal of the family festival and the celebration of "good will" have fully taken hold in our cultural celebration. But what does it all mean?
The Virgin Birth
We believe that Jesus was miraculously conceived and born of Mary, a virgin.The Son of God-Although God provided Joseph as a step-father for Jesus, God Himself was the one who, by Spirit, brought the Child into existence in Mary's womb; hence the moniker: "Son of God."
Humble Beginnings
We believe, and attach great importance to the fact that God decided that His Messiah would be born in a feeding trough in a stable. Although nobility would eventually visit the Boy-Savior, the first announcement of His birth was made to the blue-collar shepherds out in the hills.The mission of God's anointed was set at birth towards those that were considered "common" or "crude", and towards those who knew they needed a Deliverer.
The most familiar and beloved account of Christ's birth is found in the Gospel of Luke, chapters 1 and 2.
His Life
The Bible records only three full years
of Jesus' life, but what it tells us about
the Man who changed everything, His
personality, His teachings, His very
lifestyle, is both exhaustive and
incredible. Here are a few things we
believe are of utmost importance about
how Jesus lived His life.
Without Sin
We believe that although Jesus was tempted in all ways, just like us, that He overcame those temptations and lived a life completely within the will of God the Father, that is, without sin. Hebrews 4:14-15
A Friend of Sinners
We believe that Jesus was sent to bring broken people into a relationship with God, through Himself. He befriended and fellowshipped with those who were considered useless and evil by the "religious leaders" and culture of His time. Matthew 9:9-13
A Miracle Worker
We have no doubts that the miracles that are recorded as Jesus' work actually occurred. We believe this not only because we trust the truth of the Bible, but also because we have seen miracles in our midst. John 21:24-25
The Great Teacher
We believe that Jesus, fully God and fully man, was the greatest teacher to ever walk on the earth. he revealed, with unassailable authority, the heart and desire of God for the ages. John 6:66-69
The Way, the Truth and the Life
We believe that Jesus, his life and teachings are the center of our faith. All of God's Word is interpreted through Him as well as all of our experiences on our faith journey. He is the glue that holds the inerrant Word of God, the Bible, together. John 1:1-18, John 6:66-69, John14:6-7
His Death

There are no words or pictures that can adequately describe the horror and importance of the death of Jesus Christ. Tradition has titled His death, "the Passion," which is possibly the right word but comes so short of the agony and terrible beauty of the Crucifixion.

Jesus was executed by the Roman government under Governor Pontius Pilate, probably in 27 A.D. (c.y.). The worldly reason for His execution seems to have been to appease the local authorities and religious leaders, Pax Romana being the order of the day. But God's purpose was far different.
"God made Him who was without sin to be sin for us..."
II Corinthians 5:21a.
Jesus Christ, the innocent Lamb of God, took all of our brokenness, sickness and rebellion on Himself in order to pay the price for our sins, to spare us the punishment and to count us clean within our relationship with a loving but completely holy God. At the cross on which He died, we at last find a place to break down. A place to lay down all of our baggage and accept a freedom we could not afford to purchase. A place where we are loved beyond even death is revealed. A love for us that is willing to accept the penalties for our shortcomings is poured out freely. He could have come down. He was held there on the cross not by nails, but by His incredible love, His passion, for us.
The Crucifixion is recorded in all four Gospels.

His Resurrection
Recorded in all four gospels, there is
more historical evidence for the
Resurrection of Jesus Christ than any
other event in ancient history. There are
more witnessess to His return to life than
to the signing of the Declaration of
Independence. Eleven men went to their
graves with this testimony on their lips, that Jesus lived and they had seen Him. Ten of them died for that faith, horrible martyrs' deaths, and not one recanted. The eleventh, John faced torture and exile and died still preaching the truth of the Resurrection. These are not the actions of men who lie for their own advancement, truth comes out. No mass delusion could account for it, only a living Christ, back from the dead as He prophesied fits the facts. John 20
The Resurrection completes the victory. Death is conquered and the identity of Jesus as God is proven. He ascended to Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father pleading the cases of His children with His blood. Romans 8:34
His Return
He is coming again, in the flesh. We are
not given to know much more. The Bible
speaks of the Return, the Second Advent,
in several places but Christ himself
speaks of it in Luke 17:20-37. No one knows
when. No one understands how. We
know only that He will keep His promise.
Come quickly Lord Jesus!
Why Do I Need Jesus?
You're not here by accident. Jesus loves
you, and He wants you to have a personal
relationship with Him. There is just one
thing that separates you from God. That
one thing is sin.
People tend to divide themselves into
groups - good people and bad people. But God says that every person that has ever lived is a sinner, and any sin separates us from God. That includes you and me.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
According to man's rules, people should be punished or rewarded according to how good they are, and it might be hard for you to understand how Jesus could love you when other people don't seem to. But I have great news for you! Jesus DOES love you! More than you can ever imagine! And there's nothing you can do to make him stop!
Are you thinking that you should make things right in your life before you come to Jesus? Many people feel that way, but that's not what God says!
"God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
For you to come to God you have to get rid of your sin problem. But God says that you can't make yourself right with God by being a better person. God wants to save you JUST BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU!
"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." Titus 3:5
It's God's grace that allows you to come to Him - not your efforts to "clean up your life" or work your way to Heaven. You can't earn it. It's a free gift.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
For you to come to God, your sin must be paid for. God's gift to you is His son, Jesus, who paid the debt for you.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Jesus paid the price for your sin and mine by giving His life on Calvary's cross. God brought Jesus back from the dead and paved the way for you to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus.
All that's left for you to do is to accept the gift that Jesus is holding out for you right now.
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
God says that if you believe in His son, Jesus, you can live forever with Him in glory.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus is offering you right now? If it is your sincere desire to ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart through the Sinner's Prayer.
How to Pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name.

Why Do I Need Jesus?
We believe this is the most important question that a person can ask! All of our history hinges on His life, death, and resurrection. The teachings He gave us have driven and changed the world for two thousand years. He claimed to be the Son of God and one with the Father, making Him fully God and fully man. Because of His centrality to world history, His claim must not be ignored. He was either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord of everything.
We hope you'll take the time to examine the life of Jesus Christ. The best way to learn about Jesus Christ, and even meet Him if you are open to it, is to read the Bible. The Gospel of John is a great place to start. It is an eyewitness account written by Jesus' closest friend and pupil and it shines deeply into Jesus' personality and purpose. God bless!
