"Pay Down the Connection Center Debt"
This summer we will commemorate FLBC's 80th birthday. It will be a time of celebration as well as a time of reflection. The Stewardship Committee is reflecting on our financial milestones.
-
In the early 70's we took out a loan for the Fellowship Hall and quickly paid it off.
-
In 1980 we added the B Wing (offices, youth kitchen and classrooms) and paid it off the same year.
-
In 1986 we added the two-story wing and paid off the loan in 1988.
-
In 1990 we added the nursery wing and paid off the loan in 1998.
-
The Connection Center was purchased on April 20, 2008. The current loan to fund renovations to the property began on July 30, 2009 for $500,000.00. The current balance is $404,799.73.
The Stewardship Committee continues to look for ways to improve our overall financial picture and direct more funds to ministries that reach others for Christ. One of the ways we can do this is to pay down the loan for the Connection Center.
Looking towards our 80th birthday celebration, we have selected April, May and June as "Pay Down the Connection Center Debt" months. For every dollar given towards the Connection Center debt, one dollar from savings will be matched with it to pay down the note. The diagram below illustrates how this would work.

We hope that you will prayerfully consider giving to pay down this debt and plan to join us in July for FLBC's 80th birthday celebration.
Receipts as of June 10, 2015:

$41,327
Be sure to select Connection Center Debt Reduction Fund if you give online.
